The 411

Because it’s never easy to visit a new church for the first time . . .

Worship Service - each Sunday at 10:30 a.m.
What can you expect when you visit for the first time at NUCC?  You will be greeted warmly by someone from the church, who will provide you with a flyer describing the way we worship and containing all the material you need to fully understand and participate in the service. As you enter the sanctuary, you will see lots of folks greeting one another, catching up on news, or slipping into the kitchen to enjoy a quick cup of coffee. If you arrive early enough, you may hear our choir warming up. Our service is informal in style, and changes a little from week to week. With the printed order of worship, you will find it easy to follow the service as it progresses. Of course, any of the people near you will be happy to answer questions you might have during the service. But don’t worry – you won’t be singled out during the service in any way. The length of our service varies, but usually runs about 75 minutes. Stop by, relax, and enjoy what could become the most refreshing hour of your week!

Dress
There is no dress code at NUCC.  Come dressed up or come casual, just come as you are.

Communion
The celebration of Communion is observed on the first Sunday of every month, and anyone can participate in this time of reflection and prayer. We have a wheat-free/gluten free option for bread, and serve juice instead of wine.

Social Hour
Immediately following the worship service, please join us for refreshments and conversation.

Children & Teens
Children and teens are welcome to join in the worship service. At the close of the part of the service called "A Time for Young Disciples," children and teens through high school age may leave to attend Sunday School classes.

Nursery
A fully equipped nursery provides quality care for children three years of age or younger. Crafts, games, and story-time are included, and parents are encouraged to visit.

Accessibility
The Sanctuary and all parts of the church campus are handicapped accessible. If you have any questions or require assistance, please see one of the greeters or any church member.

Listening Assistance
Hearing-assistance devices are available to enable hard-of-hearing people to listen to the sermons, prayers, and music.

Life Milestone Celebrations
Our intent, as a church, is to offer a gracious and welcoming space to the community. With wood accents, excellent acoustics, comfortable chairs, and large windows, our main room is intentionally connected with nature: We love having it used, not just by church friends and family, but also by those seeking a warm gathering space to celebrate life milestones—from music recitals to weddings and commitment ceremonies to memorial services. For further information, please contact the church office.

Smoking is not allowed in any of the church buildings or in the parking lot.
